MoonCat Comedy Presents: “The New Talent Showcase and Competition”

Think you've got what it takes to make a crowd roar with laughter? Whether you're fresh to comedy, a seasoned open-miker, or already snagging paid gigs, Mooncat Comedy wants to see you on stage!

Every Month: We host our New Talent Showcase & Competition! The funniest act of the night scores a $100 cash prize and secures a spot in our annual New Comedian of the Year showdown AND Headlines the Next Month’s Showcase.

Winners are decided by a mix of audience vote and a jury panel. And yes, bringing friends helps you get more stage time—but the prize goes to the funniest performer, no matter how many people they bring. At the end of the year will will have the Mooncat “Last Saturday Laughs!” will name the Mooncat Comedian of the Year and a $250 Prize!

Here is how it works: The Comic buys a spot for $25; this represents 5 tickets. The comic can “sell” there tickets for however much they want. At the door people will be asked which comic they are supporting. We don’t even care if one comic “sells” a seat to another comic… we just want 10 comics and 50 people to come out and have fun!
